How you can help

Welcome to Cats Protection, Birmingham Adoption Centre

At the Birmingham Adoption Centre we rehome over 1000 cats each year and as the UK's leading cat welfare charity we are dedicated to helping cats and kittens in the Birmingham area. Our vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and understanding of its needs and a very important area of our work is to educate and support the local community with help and advice on cat care.

Cats Protection strongly believes that having your cat neutered before it can breed, is an essential part of responsible cat ownership. Cats are very effective breeders and without neutering the Birmingham cat population can quickly get out of control. At the Birmingham Adoption Centre we encourage and support all cat owners to neuter their cats from the age of 4 months.

The Birmingham Adoption Centre is open 7 days per week between the hours of 11am - 3pm
(no appointment necessary)

We are located on Packhorse Lane, Hollywood, B475DH
Tel: 01564 822 020
 Email: Birmingham@cats.org.uk

Cats Protection Birmingham Adoption Centre can have up to 300 cats and kittens available for adoption at any one time. All our cats have been treated to our minimum veterinary standards, meaning they have
been examined by a veterinary surgeon, been vaccinated against flu, FeLV and enteritis, treated against fleas, roundworm and tapeworm and any sick cats have been blood tested for FIV and FeLV. All cats aged 4 months and above are neutered and every rehomed cat (regardless of age) goes to its new home with 4 weeks free Petplan Insurance.

New Feature - The Hollywood Stage

Our "Hollywood Stage" facility is a purpose-built outdoor environment that is used by some of our speciality cats that need that little bit of extra consideration.  The cats that roam our facility are all up for adoption, and each has the potential to emerge as a wonderfully colourful character with just the enlightened understanding of what makes them tick.  Please do come and ask to be introduced to our collection of cracking cats in our new Hollywood Stage facility, listen to their stories, and maybe you will find your own Hollywood Star of a cat.  Click on the links to view some of our Hollywood Star cats in action.

PLEASE COULD WE ASK FOR YOUR HELP.
WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF OLD TOWELS AND BLANKETS FOR OUR SICK CATS IN OUR ISOLATION UNIT.
IF YOU HAVE ANY TO SPACE WE WOULD BE MOST GRATEFUL.
